    ICE CONDITONS FOR FEBRUARY 10-2012
Seems that we are having the best ice conditons while Orient Bay and areas south have thin to non existant ice. Mile 38 Road is driveable to Km-24 at the McDonald Creek Turnabout. All ice between Km-4 and Km-22 is in great Shape.
Montreal River Harbour Ice is also in good shape. Park at McKay Dam road. I am getting calls from the police that patrol the highway to inform climbers to shape up or WALK OUT!
Cerro De Hielo has some god ice on Transverse Mercator Wall, but much ice is punky.
We will be in Agawa this weekend and will post early next week.
Plan now on atending the 14th Annual Agawa Icefestival on March 8th to the 11th. Reserve now to dry your wet clothes in the Prospectors tent. Reserve your selective seating aroud the Bon-Fire on all three nights. Train leaves the station on March 8th (Thursday) at (9:00 am.

    ICE CONDITIONS FOR MARCH-1 2012
All ice is in good shape. Some south facing ice is bleached. DO NOT park on the shoulders of highway 17 to access Mother of Pearl or Gartshore Dome climbs. The OPP will ticket you and the plow might hit your vehicle. Park at the MCKAY Dam road.
We drove Mile 38 road on Monday to Km-14. All ice along mile 38 road is in good shape. several more new routes were completed in the past month along Mile 38 road.
A reminder that the climbs at KM-4 are on PRIVATE PROPERTY!

ICE CONDITIONS FOR MARCH 13 2012
Warm weather and rain has been here for a few days now. The Agawa river is not crossable and is open in places. All small creeks and rivers are running. Snow pack is soft and will not hold snowshoes. Roads are slushy and only driveable by snowmachine. South facing ice hs been baked and is either fallen down or slushy. Best to wait for colder weather to return, (WATCH FOR POSTS) or look for spring rock climbing. Perhaps it is time to put your gear away until next year
