View Full Version : Castle in the Clouds NH - Waterfall Access?

For those of us in Southern NH that can't make it North as much as we'd like, we are forced to get creative and adventurous when it comes to locating ice to climb closer to our area. Hence my question about the waterfall on the Castle in the Clouds property. Hiking is allowed year round to the public. Has anyone climbed it? I have to imagine so.

I too think it would have been climbed, however the access is the question. I am just guessing that access is not an issue. As you said, the property is open to hiking year round. So this leads leads me to believe that climbing it would be ok, I would be very discreet and low impact about it though. As you are well aware that this a giant tourist atraction. So ideally you could go climb, and scratch no rock, leave no gear, or tats, and break none of the little trees, or branches from trees in the "viewing zone" and it would be cool. However if the place turned into the "rumney" of ice climbing, i am sure access would be denied.
