Just spent 2 days climbing near St Come (1.5 hr north of Montreal) in Quebec. Temperature at the parking lot for both days was hovering around -10F and didn't get much above 1 or 2 degrees during the day. It was cold and I have a lot of respect for the Canadians that were out climbing regularly in that weather.

Given the weather and the recent snow dump they had conditions at both places were great. The ice was hard shattering in places, but not as much as I expected. The trails were well marked and somewhat packed down, we ended up snowshoeing into both areas and walking out in our boots.

The long drive was definitely worth it and it's hard to beat the food in Montreal. One warning is that I find Canadian grading to be on the stiff side, maybe it was the cold talking. Also Kudos to the local climbing club for the beta, fixed rope on trails and rap station set up. It's very impressive how well organized they are up here.
