Thursday - March 13th
08:00 Purchase train ticket (129 Bay Street, Downtown Sault Ste. Marie at Station Mall)

08:30 Meet at 429 Carmen’s Way All Aboard !!! Train leaves at 09:00

13:05 to 18:00 Arrive at Mile 112 in Agawa Canyon
Camp Set-up / Orientation with Agawa Canyon Ice Climbing Map
Afternoon ascent of the “Trestle” Ice Climb

18:00-22:00 Campfire Crusades at West Side Camp.

Friday - March 14th
 9:00-18:00 Open Ice climbing
 9:00-12:00 Beginner’s clinic (learn basic principles of ice
Climbing under a top-rope)
 12:00-15:00 Top Rope climbing
 13:25 Southbound Train passes through canyon for Sault Ste. Marie
 18:00-22:00 Agawa Canyon Campfire Stories at Fire Pit & Chinese Lantern Launch

Saturday - March 15th

 9:00-12:00 Technique Critique for Climbers (have your climbing

technique refined on steep ice)
 12:00-15:00 Intermediate Clinic (learn the fundamentals of Seconding an ice climb)
 13:05 Northbound Train passes through Canyon heading

how to set up a V-Thread and strength test them)

18:00 - Group supper and send off in Sault Ste. Marie (place to be announced)

Other Information

The Agawa Canyon festival and reunion is a winter camping experience.

Access is by train only. You can join us for a part of the festival…. See train schedule for days North/South and times. Tickets can be pre-purchased

All attendees need to be self sufficient and bring their own camping equipment. A heated/lighted Prospectors tent will be available for those that need to dry out VERY wet clothes and gear during the evening. There is plenty of camping sites in the main base camp. Clinics are open to all ice climbers. Cost of clinics are by donation.
